The timeless management secrets taught in this module are imperative tools in today's business environment. They help managers produce greater results in less time. Managers will learn how to set measurable, achievable goals with employees, how to coach employees, how to praise and constructively criticize performance, and the key “do’s “ and “don’ts” of supervising people.

Time Management and Meeting Management

Managers will learn how to become more productive by utilizing the principles of time and self- management, how to identify time wasters and develop solutions to them, and how to gain two hours a day in increased productivity. Managers will also learn the techniques for conducting productive meetings that are focused, involve participants, and keep goals on track.

Project Management and Managing Multiple Priorities

Managers will learn to identify critical issues associated with project-management stages, and learn a variety of techniques to manage projects successfully. Managers will also learn the essentials of being a manager-how to organize oneself and how to organize others, and the difference between efficiency, “doing the job right”, and effectiveness, “doing the right job”.

Customer Service and How to Exceed Customer Expectations

Great customer service professionals make a choice: every day, with every customer, they choose to do all they can to make their customer’s experience as positive as it can be.  In other words, they care.  Managers will learn that the secrets to remarkable customer service and how to C.A.R.E., i.e. be Connected, Attentive, Responsible and Enthusiastic.

Negotiating Skills and Conflict Resolution

Good negotiation skills are fundamental for everyone who has to deal with other people. Whether one is dealing with an external supplier or an internal customer, negotiation skills are critical for good managers and good business. Managers will also learn specific techniques of conflict resolution that can be used to turn conflicts into improved relationships.

Stress Management and Self-management

Stress affects everyone!  In small doses, stress can motivate and energize.  In large amounts, stress can affect health and productivity and cause inefficiency, and job dissatisfaction. Managers will learn how to identify the main causes of stress, and will learn several solutions for dealing with and managing stress on the job and in their lives.

Problem Solving and Decision-making

All organizations need effective ways of tackling problems, addressing opportunities, and making crucial decisions.  The techniques taught in this module will provide managers with the skills and understanding to address problems effectively, utilize the strengths of group problem solving, and develop the ability to use these tools on an individual basis.

Hiring, Training, and Performance Management

In any organisation, hiring the right people for the right job is a challenge. Successfully meeting that challenge helps organisations keep turnover down and productivity high. Managers will learn how to make the right hiring decisions and how to teach skills to a group of employees and then provide ongoing coaching, support and performance management.

Team Building and Motivation

Management and motivational skills are among the hardest to learn because they involve people skills.  Managers will learn how to better interact and communicate, and the skills necessary to manage people with care and understanding. Managers will learn invaluable management tools that outline ways to inspire and motivate the people they lead.

Leadership and Change Management

Trust is the foundation of leadership. In this module managers will learn how to develop leadership skills based on trust. Managers who are charged with introducing departmental or organisational changes to their employees will learn various tools and techniques to help them successfully navigate through the murky and often turbulent waters of change.

Goal Setting and Strategic Planning

Goals and planning are a part of everyday life. The manager engaged in the planning process has accepted and defined a specific goal. Strategic planning is a method of efficiently pursuing a single set of ultimate goals and of allocating resources to them. Managers will learn how to set goals and undertake a strategic planning process that can be used achieve them.

Communication Skills and Presentation Skills

In this age of empowerment and accountability, everyone must take responsibility for communicating clearly. In typical organisations, formal presentations, whether to subordinates, senior management or external groups, form a core part of the communication and decision-making process. Managers will learn effective techniques for improving communication in the workplace and how to make winning presentations.
